Dr. David J. Malebranche

David J. Malebranche, MD, MPH, is an Haitian-American physician working in the field of HIV/AIDS, both research and clinical.  Associate Professor of Medicine at Emory University’s School of Medicine, Dr. Malebranche has a joint appointment with the Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is known as a dynamic speaker nationwide and has appeared in documentaries on CNN, ABC News Primetime, TV One, and Black Entertainment Television (BET).

He is also an experienced qualitative HIV behavioral prevention researcher who has completed several studies on Black men who have sex with men, and is currently conducting a study exploring how social issues, mental health and coping strategies influence the sexual behavior of Black men in Georgia.

Dr. Malebranche is recognized for his expertise on HIV in the black community He also served as a member of the President’s Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) from 2006–2008, and is the current HIV/AIDS expert on webmd.com.
