Consecration
Inviting blessing upon the elements of bread and the cup offers us opportunity to reflect upon God's presence with us all in every place.
Gracious and Powerful God, Loving and Vulnerable God, you came to us as an infant child, trusting human protection. You came to us as a mighty prophet trusting human openness. You came to us as a Living Savior, trusting that we would follow. Send now your Holy Spirit to bless these simple elements, that they may be for us the sign and presence of Jesus Christ. Bless this table that all may be free to come to it. Bless every child and every parent, every friend and every enemy, that we may all be one.
With Christ on our hearts, we pray.
